The Nomad Company Minimalist - capturing simplicity Mr. Max Dupain Australian photographer Maxwell Dupain took some iconic Aussie beach photos from the 1930s and this little gem was my acknowledgment to his work. Different angles or unusual ways of creating something that is fresh and/or new. This was taken at the Mandurah Show in 2023. Mandurah Western Australia 2023 Photographing people - the art of capturing the human spirit. Intensive and a little addictive but always rewarding. Keturah Space, concrete and lines is what I saw here and had to capture it to see if it worked for me and it did. About the Studio The Nomad Company is a professional photographic studio based in Perth, WA and Adelaide in SA. Our expertise is in minimisation photography which is the less is more aspect of photographic work. I attempt to create something special different in every single image I take. I currently cover all states of Australia and have clients in every state except Tasmania currently. I have worked with major Australian companies and small family businesses. The Nomad Company was originally called MODO and the name was changed in 2017 after moving from Perth to Canberra. Since then The Nomad Company has grown to become a successful photographic business all over Australia especially for weddings, large events and portraits. Steven Powell Photographer & Designer I was born in Broken Hill in NSW in 1963. I started my travel journey early at the age of 3. I started school in Wanaaring in outback NSW and I finished my schooling back in Broken Hill in 1981 and worked at the NSW Railways before joining the Australian Army in 1983. Serving in the Army in Townsville, Adelaide and Sydney before discharging in Darwin in 1991. 1991 to 2007 I spent my working life in the professional security industry in WA, NSW and QLD and internationally in the USA the Middle East. From 2010 I started my journey in to photography and my new magazine Rasp & Sturt.
